What does it matter to ants, worms in the ground, or plankton in the ocean if a third world war is raging on the planet, or a fourth? As long as they remain who they are, they won't care, as long as it doesn't destroy them.
Whatever the scale of events, humanity as a single organism will not change this in any way.
